Education and Incentives

Provide policy, implementation guidance and resourcing for the administration of education benefits and incentive entitlements for the RI ARNG Soldiers. Provide counseling and brief on ARNG education incentives, entitlements, and requirements including Post 9/11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve, GI Bill Kicker, and Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP).

IAW our annual FY closeout requirements, guidance for FY 24 CA requests follows:

1. Soldiers can continue to submit CA requests until 2000 Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) 30 July 2024 through ArmyIgnitED for courses or exams that have start dates up to 13 September.

2. Soldiers will not have the ability to submit FY24 CA requests through ArmyIgnitED for start dates from 14-30 Sep.

3. Soldiers must submit CA requests through ArmyIgnitED at least 45 days prior to the start date of the course or exam.

Guidance for FY 25 CA requests:

1. Soldiers may submit CA requests through ArmyIgnitED beginning 17 September 2024 for courses or exams that start on or after 1 November 2024 (not to exceed 90 days from submission).  However, FY25 requests are subject to the availability of funds.
